Celebrate Spring with the Birds & Bees of Patagonia
Monday, March 25, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (MST)
Celebrate the onset of spring with Borderlands Habitat Restoration Initative at the Native Seeds/SEARCH Conservation Farm in Patagonia. We're kicking off a habitat restoration effort on the farm with native plants chosen to attract pollinators and insectivores. Help us plant the hedgerow starting at 9am (so bring clothes that can get dirty and gloves).
We'll break for a delicious lunch prepared by the multi-talented Anita at noon. Be prepared for discussion and socializing at Gary Nabhan and Laurie Monti's home during lunch.
Is anyone looking to share a ride from Tucson to Patagonia? If so, please email Chris Schmidt at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Come early - Borderlands Habitat Restoration Initiative will introduce Patagonia as the pollinator diversity capital of the US and dedicate a new sign. We'll meet at the town's native pollinator garden across from the Gathering Grounds at 8:30am.
