Event Details

Come join wildlife biologists as we protect prairie dogs and the species they support! A large fence must be built east of Rabbit Mountain to contain prairie dog migration to one area, protecting the agricultural integrity of a neighboring farm. This passive form of prairie dog control is one important part of an integrated approach to manage prairie dogs in Boulder County. Work will involve carrying, bending, and hammering. The minimum age is 12 with adult supervision. This project runs from 1:00pm-5:00pm.For more information please call Erica Christensen at 303-678-6329.

YOUTH POLICY:

Please note that every volunteer under the age of 18 needs a waiver signed by a parent or guardian, and needs to be accompanied to the volunteer event by an adult.
