Celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

at Macy's Herald Square in New York City

with Far East Movement

As America’s Department Store, Macy’s takes pride in celebrating groups or individuals who have made an impact in the U.S. In salute to Asian American music in American pop culture, we’re excited to bring Far East Movement to Macy's Herald Square! Far East Movement is the phenomenon that exploded on the American music scene and broke barriers!

On Thursday May 23rd at 6pm Macy's invites you to come be a part of the movement and hear FEM talk about how their culture has influenced their musical style. Then, experience FEM in our very own Macy’s listening party where they will perform live!

Then, take home your FEM memento… The first 250 people to make any $50 or more junior’s or young men’s purchase during the event will get to meet and take a digital photowith the band! Plus, the first 100 people to make the qualifying purchase will also get a copy of their latest album DIRTY BASS!

Plus, visit from May 1st through May 31st for a chance to win a trip for two with VIP experience to the International Secret Agents (ISA) Concert in Long Beach, CA courtesy of American Airlines and a $1000 Macy’s shopping spree!*

Who is Far East Movement?

Raised in Koreatown, Los Angeles, Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, and DJ Virman embody the pulse of contemporary Los Angeles: the pan-global fusion, the exotic and traditional rhythms, the idea that car stereos are castles. This has always been the idea behind the Cherry Tree/Interscope artists who made history when 2010's platinum-selling "Like a G6" was the first #1 hit ever achieved by Asian Americans.

But the Far East Movement succeed by transcending race, language, or age. They have amassed one of the world's most eclectic fan bases, united by their love of FEM's propulsive beats, infectious energy, and classically melodic cadences.

They’re a young, hip and culturally relevant band that captures the Asian-American experience in the U.S, and general market populations. Macy’s is expanding Asian Pacific American Heritage Month from a campaign that highlights the history and traditions of this demographic to one that celebrates current achievements and brings the Millenial audience more into the fold.

Disclaimer: Event subject to change or cancellation. *No purchase necessary.  Open to residents of the contiguous United States (and D.C.) 18 years and older.  Employees of Sponsor and their immediate families are not eligible.  Void where prohibited.  Sweepstakes ends May 31, 2013.  For complete official rules visit
