Event Details

The College of Education and Allied Studies (CEAS) at California State University, East Bay will host Career Development Day on Saturday, February 23, 2013. The event is from 9 AM to 3:30 PM on the Hayward Hills Campus in the New University Union, Multipurpose Room.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to network and hire undergraduate and graduate students, credential candidates, and 2012 alumni from the following:

  1. Education (Curriculum, Reading, EdTech Leadership, Online Teaching and Learning)
  2. Educational Leadership (Administrative Services)
  3. Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism
  4. Kinesiology
  5. Single and Multiple Subject Credentials
  6. Special Education
  7. Speech-Language Pathology
  8. Counseling (Marriage Family Therapy, School Counseling, School Psychology)

On the registration form, employers will need to indicate plans to particapate in: Employer Reception (continental breakfast); career fair (one table, two chairs, and lunch for two recruiters); and on-site interviews (designated location to interview students/alumni). Parking is included for pre-registered employers.

Due to a special one-time grant funding, the event is free to all participants! We expect the employer slots to fill up quickly, so register soon.

The College of Education and Allied Studies (CEAS) provides programs that educate and prepare its graduates to serve and contribute to the quality of life for individuals and communities. Graduates from CEAS lead schools and school districts as teachers and counselors, school psychologists and school administrators. They also organize community parks and recreation programs, and manage hotels and restaurants. Other careers of interest include athletic trainers, physical and recreational therapists, and marriage and family therapists. The following are CEAS academic departments:
