Presentation:  Mobile Health: a sneak preview into some fascinating innovations that will affect your practice

Mobile Health has become a sort of buzz word, but what does it mean?  What aspects of Mobile Health are already impacting your practice and how will they evolve in the future?

Patients are adopting mobile technologies faster than most people thought they would.  Some of the leading Healthcare organizations are already taking advantage of this fact and are using mobile technologies to engage patients and help them to be accountable for their own health decisions as well as obtaining invaluable feedback from them.  Join us and learn what is already out there and what is to come in the world of m-health.

Speaker:  Hugo Diaz

Hugo is an experienced mobile technology entrepreneur who has a successful track record implementing Internet and Mobile interactive services in over 40 countries.  He was recently recognized by Univision (the largest Hispanic television network) as a prominent entrepreneur who is introducing innovative technology services in the healthcare industry.

He is also part of "The Fifty," a group formed by the Seton Fund to support the vision for a medical school in Austin.  This initiative was born out of the partnership between Seton Healthcare Family and UT Southwestern Medical School and will help Central Texas emerge as a leader in training the next generation of physicians and caregivers

Sponsor:  Vital Interaction

Vital Interaction develops software for healthcare organizations to communicate more effectively with patients by using text messaging, email and automated voice recordings.  The company's focus is providing tools that help medical professionals and practices increase profitability through improved patient communications.

Located in Austin, Texas, Vital Interaction is owned by the Danta Group.  The Vital Interaction proprietary Patient Interaction Solution has been adopted by medical practices through the US, including major metropolitan areas such as New York, Chicago, Houston and Dallas.
