CCCAP Provider Point of Service (POS) Trainer Certification Course
The purpose of this course is to provide county staff certification to train CCCAP providers on the proper use and rules governing the POS device. Remember delivery of the Provider POS Training must be instructed by CDHS certified trainers. This is your opportunity to be certified to train providers.
- Attendees will receive the most up-to-date version of the Provider POS Training PowerPoint; all supporting provider forms; and a certificate of attendance.
- Counties with two or more certified staff have maximum flexibility in delivering training.
- Additional county trainers promote expedited fiscal agreement processing.
- Be able to meet the unique needs of your provider community.
- Educate clients on the use of the POS device.
- Reduce questions or confusion from providers and clients regarding the swiping process.
- Comply with CCCAP requirements for a 100% automated attendance and payment process.
- Participate in the Provider Point-of-Service (POS) Training delivered by State Staff.
- Have the opportunity to ask questions on POS usage, rules, and policies.
What are my parking options?
Denver: Pay parking is available near 1575 Sherman Street.
Eagle: Ample free parking is available.
What should I bring to the class?
- A writing utensil and paper
- A sweater or jacket
- A willingness to learn and an open mind
Will lunch/snacks be provided?
No. The State CCCAP budget does not allow us to provide refreshments.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Is my registration/ticket transferable?
No. Please cancel your registration if you are unable to attend. Instruct others to register for any available spaces.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. The instructors will have a printed roster with all registered attendees.
Do I have to attend if I was certified at a past POS training?
No. However you may take the course again if you desire a refresher.
Do I have to attend the class in person to be certified?
Yes. We have no call-in or web-based options.
I am a certified trainer already. Can I train someone else in my county to train providers or does that person have to be certified by the state?
CDHS staff must certify county staff who will train providers. You may train other county staff on the use of the POS device; however they will not be authorized to train providers. Only state-certified county staff may train providers on the POS device.
How many people from my county can register and attend?
The state recommends each county have no less than two certified trainers. There is no maximum number who may attend.
I can only stay for a portion of the workshop. Am I required to attend the entire class to be certified?
Yes. Attendees are required to be present for the complete duration of the workshop. Anyone arriving more than 10 minutes after the start time will be asked to reschedule.
Does my county have to have a certified trainer, or can I just send my providers to another county?
Counties are required to have at least one certified trainer. You are welcome to send your providers to another county for training if you make those arrangements with the other county in advance.
How do I cancel my registration?

How do I reschedule for another date/time?
Please cancel your registration and register for an available space in another training.
The course is full and/or the waitlist is full. Will you please add me to the waitlist?
No. We are unable to manage the waitlist manually. Please check back for availability.
I cannot make it to the scheduled training dates. When will you offer this class again?
This course is offered infrequently. State staff will send invitations for future course offerings via email.
When will you offer this training near me?
State CCCAP is always looking for new locations to host training events. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to offer your location for future training events.
