Event Details

LOS ANGELES, CA- FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2013- SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2013-  CBG Arts, SWESH ENT In ASSOCIATION WITH KIRK FRANKLIN & 102.3 Radio Free KJLH is proud to announce their new original musical stage play, “Why We Sing”. The production will take place at the Lynwood Performing Arts Center located at 4050 E Imperial HWY.

This new exhilarating production brings to life popular songs from all nine of Kirk Franklin’s award winning records including a brand new song. The show features a cast of over sixty of the cities youth & young adult adroit actors, singers, dancers and musicians.

A youth pastor and leader- Oscar Duncan- was gunned down last summer at the age of 23 by local gangbangers. With their reputation of bringing large crowds to past shows (3,000-6,000 in attendance) it is their goal to spread a positive message against gang violence in the community. A portion of the revenues will go towards a scholarship in Oscar Duncan’s name.
