Holy moly, we're five!
Come celebrate with us:
Friday, September 27, 2013
@ SOMArts, San Francisco, CA
We are celebrating our first major Silicon Valley milestone with a live performance by African drum team Bu Falle, San Franciscan food truck cuisine, local brews and wineries, and... birthday cake!
But the highlight of the evening is reserved for the work. We've rented out SOMArts to immerse our community in an interactive and hands-on exhibit of five years of design work in marginalized and underserved communities. Featuring:
- Water Wheel 2.0, India... a novel way to transport water in India.
- Tippy Tap, Kenya... a pretty cool way to wash your hands that's easy and affordable to build.
- Solar Lighting (& mobile financing), India... if you haven't actually tried this, here's your chance.
- Household Clean Water, Global... you'll love your kitchen sink after trying this.
- Food Processing and Storage, Kenya... no refridgeration. no electricity. what's a family to do?
We feel a little bit like the The Little Engine That Could. No one is more shocked than us that a tiny design firm on a mission could thrive and grow in a niche sector. Celebrate this extraordinary achievement of 20 design projects in 7 countries that Catapult has realized since its creation.
