Introduction

Digg is hosting a hackathon for the Cassandra community in San Francisco! Join us on April 22nd at 6:30 PM in the Digg San Francisco office at 1040 Mariposa St, Suite 100, for a hackathon covering the Cassandra internals.

Digg, Rackspace, Cloudkick and Twitter engineers will be there to help out with any questions. So bring your laptops, and be prepared to code. Space is limited, so register now!

Digg will also be giving a talk about how we use Cassandra as a critical component of our new site.

Food and drinks provided by Digg!

What is Cassandra?

The Apache Cassandra Project develops a highly scalable second-generation distributed database, bringing together Dynamo's fully distributed design and Bigtable's ColumnFamily-based data model.
