Do I bring my baby to the group?
Yes, babies are welcome:)That being said, if you decide you'd rather keep your baby at home so you can take a break, that's okay too. Do what works best each week.
How accesible for strollers is the space? Are there any stairs?
Our locations are very mom friendly, no stairs or tight spaces to navigate. Feel free to bring your stroller, or if you are more comfortable with a baby carrier, that's okay too. Whatever works best for you and your baby.
What if I have to miss a session?
Life happens (especially as a new mom!) Do what you can to make it each week, but know that the program is valuable even if you have to miss some sessions. It's more about you getting six weeks of support (vs. six sessions). Much of the support is what happens between the sessions. One of the best parts? Developing friendships with so many supportive moms.
Do you prorate for missed sessions?
We don't prorate our support groups for missed sessions as it's really about getting six weeks of support, resources, and friendships (vs six sessions). The group's facilitator often does email follow-up between sessions so you can get clued in to what you missed.
About Babybites Brooklyn Groups:
“I don’t know what I would have done if I had not found this support system. I continue to get together and speak with the moms from my group almost every day. Thank you so much for providing this service!”
“The group I meet with - I say meet because we all still email and meet up on Fridays- is wonderful! I am so thankful that I joined the group. I have received so much needed support and assurance. I am amazed by how much changes for a woman once she is a mother (everything!). It is so helpful to stay healthy emotionally by having other mothers to talk with about these changes, how to cope, and to get support. They are a great bunch of wonderful moms who I never would have met if it weren’t for BabyBites. And our facilitator was great- she was insightful and very supportive.”
“LOVED the group – was a wonderfully nurturing, trusting, and open place to share all my thoughts/feelings/worries on adjusting to life with a baby.”
