It's a free, two-day gathering, challenging students and young adults to finish the task of world evangelism. We will be leaving at 4pm from Hope Community Church at 1429 Clark Ave, Long Beach CA 90815 to carpool. We will leave at 10pm promptly on Friday. There is no carpooling on Saturday.
|Calling another generation to finish the task
of the Great Commission
Over 100 years ago, God raised up the Student Volunteer Movement out of North America and Europe. The movement touched the ends of the earth as over 20,000 young adults, among them a Princeton student, Robert Wilder, committed themselves to "the evangelization of the world in this generation" (John Mott). These young adults, some of them among the "best and brightest" of their time, gave up comfortable lives to wholly abandon themselves to the purposes of God in their generation.
We are asking, "Can it happen again?"
The dream of the student volunteers of old is still unrealized. Will the students of our generation finish what their predecessors set their hearts on? It is our joy and responsibility to embrace their daring ambition.
