Carnevale Ventura Events
On February 9 and 10, Carnevale Ventura presents the fabulous 16th Century Italian Renaissance Carnevale! Featured attractions include an Italian Renaissance Faire in Mission Park in Ventura, a Masquerade Ball and a special performance by George Stuart.
Renaissance Faire—free to all
The Faire will be encamped in picturesque Mission Park in historic downtown Ventura. As many as sixty Renaissance artisans and merchants will offer their wares. The Faire will feature continual entertainment by jugglers, fairies, acrobats, and re-enactors from medieval Europe.
Faire hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Masquerade Ball & Costume Contest
The Masquerade Ball will be held in the Clocktower Inn adjoining the Faire site. Ticket includes automatic entry in the Costume Contest, entertainment, photo opportunities, specialty drink and antipasti. Dinner and breakfast discounts for specialty dishes and beverages at select restaurants. The event will accommodate up to 300 costumed guests from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 9.
The "Despicable Borgias
Reconteur George Stuart, creator of the Historical Figures will give one of his entertaining historical monologs about the infamous Borgia Family at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 9 at the Clocktower Inn. Mr. Stuart will share the lives and times of Alexander VI and his infamous offspring.
