The 2nd annual Carlisle Construction Materials Downtown Mile will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The race follows a one mile USA Track and Field certified course along High Street in Carlisle. The race start is west of the intersection of High and Orange Streets and finishes at the intersection of High Street and Liberty Avenue. The event will be chip-timed with start and finish mats for accurate results.
All participants are responsible for getting to the start line prior to their heat.

6:30 pm Walkers/Fun Run
6:40 pm Children 13 and under
6:50 pm Ages 14-19 male/female
6:55 pm Ages 20-29 male/female
7:00 pm Ages 30-39 male/female
7:05 pm Ages 40-49 male/female
7:10 pm Ages 50-59/Ages 60+ male/female
7:20 pm Team Challenge
The Team Challenge consists of a team with a minimum of three runners and a maximum of five runners. The Three fastest runners' times from each team will be used to determine the winning teams. Grab your co-workers, friends or family and form a team!
No awards will be given to the walkers/fun run participants. All children ages 13 and under will receive a finishers medal. Awards will be given in the other categories to the top three male/female runners and top three teams. Results will be posted as soon after the race as possible. No awards will be mailed, so runners are strongly encouraged to stick around, cheer on the other runners and stay for the award ceremony which will begin as quickly as possible after the last runner crosses the finish line.
Post Race Party: Please join us after the race and awards ceremony in the Beer Garden located behind Abom & Kutulakis, LLP. Beer will by provided by our sponsor Wilsbach Distributors. Beer is included for each participant who is of legal age to consume alcohol. Wristbands will be provided. You must have photo ID with you to get a wristband. Please be responsible- do not drink and drive.
Packet Pick Up
Packets will be available for pick up at the Appalachian Running Company located at 290 E. Pomfret Street from 10-7pm on Wednesday May 29, 2013. Packets can also be picked up at the Employment Skills Center on Thursday, May 30th from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Race day registration and packet pickup will begin at 5:00pm at the staging area near the start line.
Registration can not be transferred and is non-refundable. All participants must sign the Waiver of Liability.
The Employment Skills Center discourages the use of IPods and headphones as they can affect your ability to hear race instructions.
The race will be held rain or shine. In the event the race is canceled due to circumstances beyond the control of the organizers, entry fees will be viewed as a charitable donation to the Employment Skills Center.
Although we love dogs, we ask that you please leave them at home on race day.
