Featured Panelists and Workshop Presenters:

Dr. George Sharghi

Dr. George Sharghi owns and manages a management advisory service focused on international business, training and global strategic planning.  He serves clients in Canada and Europe for management advisory related services extensively.  Dr. Sharghi has taught in the areas of Economics, Finance and Accounting since 1992 and has served the San Diego and online Campuses in a variety of faculty governance roles.  These include Area Chair for Financial Planning, Area Chair for Economics, Assistant Department Chair for the undergraduate online program, academic course developer, new faculty assessor, leader of ongoing campus economics workshops and previous Economic Forums. He presently serves the campus as Area Chair for Financial Planning, Control and Risk Management. He was been recognized twice as Faculty of the Year for the San Diego Campus.  

Nathan Aish

Nathan Aish, MPH RAS is a consultant, personal coach and certified alcohol and drug counselor with over 16 years of leadership experience in the behavioral and public health fields. He also currently serves as a Lead Faculty Area Chair and professor at the University of Phoenix in the College of Health Sciences and Nursing.  Nathan received his master degree in public health (MPH) from the Ohio State University, his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Toledo, and is currently pursuing a second graduate degree in social work at San Diego State University as well as a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential.  

Professionally, Nathan has served in several leadership positions including:  

• Co-host of THRIVEcast podcast
• Lead Faculty Area Chair for University of Phoenix College of Health Care Services
• Director of Operations for RMS of Ohio, Inc.
• Director of Client Services for Vanharlingen, Inc.
• QMRP/Clinical Supervisor for the State of Ohio’s Mt. Vernon Developmental Center.
• Regional Program Director for Advocacy and Protective Services, Inc. (APSI)
• Assistant Director for Mental Health Systems, Inc.’s Substance Abuse Services Coordinating Agency (SASCA)
• Consultant for American Health Services, Inc.
• Director of Quality Improvement of Mental Health Systems, Inc.

Further, he continues to provide consulting, coaching and training services to organizations, individuals and families in the community.

Victor Ho

Victor Ho joined the University of Phoenix Faculty in October, 2013.  He has worked in corporate finance in the healthcare and real estate industries for 28 years in San Diego. He held positions as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Information Technology at Radiation Medical Group, Western Cancer Center, Genesis Healthcare Partners and Tom Hom Investment Corporation.  His financial experience  included financial analysis, project management, capital budgeting and investments, healthcare and real estate information management, accounting, revenue cycle management, strategic planning, marketing and operational management.  One of the most exciting experience in his career in healthcare  was his involvement in bringing the first state-of-the-art CyberKnife Radiosurgery technology to San Diego for cancer treatment in 2006.  He is currently with Transamerica Financial Group providing financial planning, investment and retirement services.  He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management from the University of Singapore and a  Master's Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from San Diego State University. 

Amanda Behl

 Amanda has 13 years in the Criminal Justice Field, 3 years working as a Case Manager for Correctional Alternatives, Inc., 3 years as a Yuma County Adult Probation Officer, and the past 7 years as a United States Federal Probation Officer for the Southern District of California.  Amanda is currently a Probation Officer for the El Centro, California Office.  

Amanda is a member of the Supervision Guidelines Manual committee, the Office Safety committee, and the Defendant/Offender Workforce Development Group. She works closely with employers and inmates under the Offender Workforce Development Group, to help employ recently released inmates and help educate employers of the benefits to hiring a felon.  

Amanda is a Lead Faculty Area Chair for the College of Criminal Justice and Security with the University of Phoenix, San Diego, California and adjunct faculty with the Yuma, Arizona Campus, facilitating courses in Criminal Justice Administration.  Amanda is a volunteer with the Yuma County Juvenile Justice Youth Summit.  She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from San Diego State University, and a Master of Forensic Sciences from National University.

Ed Chargualaf

Mr. Chargualaf is an environmental scientist and project manager with 20 years of experience in energy, health and safety, occupational health, hazardous materials and waste management and disposal, water quality management, storm water and wastewater management, toxic substances management, natural and cultural resource management, solid waste management, emergency planning and response, pollution prevention, and remediation for the U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserves, National Guard, Department of Commerce, Coast Guard and local and federal government clients.  Mr. Chargualaf has worked with both government and private industry in developing and implementing guidance for program management and establishing cost effective and acceptable strategies for compliance. He has developed training programs in health and safety, hazardous waste management, emergency spill response and remediation and has conducted/developed training for military personnel and state and federal government employees, including emergency response planning, design and remediation throughout the United States, Japan, Korea and several Pacific Island Countries.
