SHEIFGAB! Staying Sane, Motivated and Productive in Job Search.
SHEIFGAB is the acronym for the eight building blocks to staying sane, motivated and productive in job search. This presentation by Conor Cunneen often will be humorous, but always insightful on the job search process. He will discuss how you can combat the pain, frustration, sadness and anger often associated with job search, so that you can walk into the interview 12-feet tall and bulletproof.
Some of his tips will include: dressing up even for a telephone interview to feel more professional, listening to a motivational or comedy video on YouTube before the interview, arriving early for the face-to-face interview, choosing the right attitude for the interview, looking for connections on LinkedIn, and researching the company on Google.
Conor Cunneen is a professional speaker, educator and business humorist who has a deep and abiding passion for job seekers. “I hate what ‘unemployment’ does to people. But if job seekers can redefine their experience to ‘job search,’ it changes the mindset to no longer being a victim, but being in proactive search.”
