Can't Stop the Serenity 2013
Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (PDT)
Seattle Browncoats Charities is proud to present the 8th annual "Can't Stop the Serenity" charity fundraiser. Join us on Saturday, July 13th at Central Cinema for two very special screenings of Joss Whedon's Serenity (2005):
TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR 2:00 pm matinee - a "family-friendlier" event featuring a dazzling pre-movie spinning display by Firebird's Children, followed by the movie, and a costume contest & raffle concluding the matinee; $15 (+ fees) presale / $18 at the door
SOLD OUT 7:00 pm evening show - our "Special Hell" version featuring comedic pre-movie entertainment from NERDprov, followed by the movie with texting-to-screen Hecklevision available to all cell phones present (texting charges may apply), and a costume contest & raffle concluding the evening show; $17 (+ fees) presale / $21 at the door
|Attendees at both screenings will have the opportunity to get raffle tickets for a very special raffle featuring a CSTS tote bag autographed by Nathan Fillion!|
Kids are welcome at either showing. We trust parents to use discretion and judgment as to what your kids can/can't handle. Remember the movie is rated PG-13, and know that Hecklevision is NOT censored in any way. You've been warned!
A full menu and bar is available at the dinner-theater Central Cinema, so bring your appetite! Each showing will conclude with a raffle and costume contest, so dress up in your best Firefly-inspired costume! All costumed attendees get a prize! We will also be offering our Whedon-inspired wares in the lobby if you need another cunning hat or spare set of pint glasses.
Remember all proceeds from CSTS 2013 will support Equality Now, Northwest Harvest, and Seattle Browncoats Charities (for the next awesome event)!
