Parents, students, educators, and community members are coming together from across the city to fight back against the closure of 37 of our public schools. This is an unprecedented attack on public education and the people in our communities that count on their neighborhood school. On Thursday, December 20, we will take our next step to voice our opposition to these closures, and we're counting on you to be there and stand with us!
Candle Light Vigil and March for Our Schools
Thursday, December 20, 4 PM
In the Courtyard of City Hall
We will gather for the vigil at 4 PM in the City Hall courtyard. Following the vigil we will march a few blocks to the School District Headquarters at 440 North Broad St where a meeting of the School Reform Commission will take place. The only way we can win this battle and set Philadelphia on the path to the public education system our children deserve is if we all stand together, so come out and join us and bring your friends, family, and neighbors too!
