The Hope for Tomorrow Cancer Support Group, in support of Cancer Prevention Awareness Month, will present a Cancer Awareness Symposium on Saturday, February 15, starting at 10 a.m. This Symposium will address, Cancer Prevention “The Keys to Good Health”. Approximately 1.6 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed this year, and about 580,350 Americans are projected to die of cancer. That’s almost 1,600 people a day. Cancer remains the second most common cause of death in the US; accounting for nearly 1 of every 4 deaths. During this symposium, important information will be shared about cancer, what causes it, and how to prevent it. You will gain an awareness about recognizing the risk factors, the importance of early detection, descriptions of diagnosis, and treatment options.
