Tree Detectives is series of family-focused tree tours styled as scavenger hunts. Kids and their families hunt for clues based on leaves, flowers, fruit, bark and other characteristics and use these clues to identify different trees.
There is free street parking available on several streets surrounding the park including N Frederick Street, 12th Street N, 11th Road N, 11th Street N, and N George Mason Drive. ART Metrobuses 2A, 2B, 2C and 2G stop at Lacey Woods Park.
We will meet at the pavilion near the playground, close to the intersection of N George Mason Drive & Washington Boulevard.

Who Should Attend?
Tree Detectives is for families with children in 1st through 6th grade. Children must be accompanied by an adult(s) at all times.
It is recommended that participants bring sun protection, bug protection and water for this walk.
Restrooms are available on site.
