This densely-packed course should be the first for any photographer who wants to learn how to control their cameras and understand the basics of photography. Both the left and right sides of your brain will be filled with the primary fundamentals every good photographer needs to understand in order to make their camera capture the images they see in their head. If you have invested (or plan to invest) in a good quality camera and want to use it to capture beautiful images as opposed to just taking pictures, this class is exactly what you've been looking for. This intense and information-filled course was specifically designed to help photographers master their camera and begin developing their creative eye.
Topics will include: digital camera basics (specific to your personal camera equipment), principles of focus, depth of field, exposure, white balance, color, composition, etc. You will also learn all the things your camera can do and how to make it do them. You will learn to think like your camera and how to shoot images that are ready for computer editing and finishing. Course will include introduction to the basics of active, passive and natural lighting techniques; portraiture and still life; editing and retouching via electronic image manipulation and so much more.
By the end of this course you will have established a solid and strong foundational understanding of how you and your camera may work together to take your images to new heights.
This course provides the foundational knowledge needed to excel in all of our other specialized courses.
