There will be an easy two-mile hike around the lake. Please dress accordingly.
Our programs are designed for individuals & families. If you are part of a group organization, (scout troop, meet-up, etc.) we ask that each family registers seperately. If you would like to register 6 or more people please contact, 720-497-7600, for more information.
Registration for this program is available one month before the date of the program. If you are registering during this time, but space is no longer available, please call Lookout Mountain Nature Center at 720-497-7600 to be placed on a waiting list.

Jefferson County Open Space was founded as a land conservation organization in 1972. Its mission is to preserve land, protect park and natural resources, as well as provide healthy nature-based experiences. Funded with a one-half of one percent sales tax, the agency contributes to city and recreation district projects and manages 44,613 acres, 28 regional parks, and 230 miles of trails in Jefferson County, Colorado.
