Hailed by Newsweek as one of the “Women Shaping the 21st Century,” Tiffany Shlain is the founder of the Webby Awards and an award-winning filmmaker. In her documentary, “Connected,” which was chosen by the U.S. State Department and USC Film School to be part of the 2012 American Film Showcase, Ms. Shlain takes viewers on a personal journey, starting with her love/hate relationship with technology as an ever-present force in 21 st century life.
Location: Bronco Student Center, building 35, Ursa Major room on the 2nd floor.

The Information, Technology, and Lifelong Learning Speaker Series is a collaboration between the University Library, the Division of Instructional & Information Technology, the Career Center, the Departments of Computer Information Systems and Political Science, and the Kellogg Distinguished Public Lecture Series.
Funding is provided by the 2012-13 La Bounty Endowed Chair of Interdisciplinary Knowledge, which brings speakers from a variety of backgrounds to visit our campus and enrich our community.
