Help Us Fill Our Piggy Bank
Hope Stone Kids New Orleans is hosting its fourth annual Pig Roast on May 31 from 4:00-8:00pm at 729 Sixth Street. This family-style event will feature delicious food and live bands. The main attraction, The Cajun Microwave, will sit front and center at the event and will be cooking up a delicious local pig all afternoon. Jacques-Imos and Atchafalaya Restaurant will also be catering.
The event will feature local teen band “Red Wolf Brass Band,” which is directed by local musician Desmond “Black Moses” Venable. Additionally “Crazy Whiskey,” a local country-blues band, will get the crowd dancing on their feet. Face-painting booths and puzzle-making stations will entertain the youngest of guests. Guests will have a chance to win a Cajun Pig Roast Party of their own by buying raffle tickets! You do not want to miss this!
All proceeds from the event will go directly towards New Orleans youth art scholarships and fulfilling Hope Stone New Orleans’ mission of “Art for All”.
Tickets can be either purchased in advance through www.cajunpigroast.eventbrite.com or at the door. Tickets are $50 per couple (advance only), $30 per person, and only $10 for kids between the ages of 5-17.
If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact Director Dana Reed by email at email@example.com or by phone at 504.390.8399.
We promise The Pig Roast won’t be a boar; it’ll be a hoggin’ good time! See you there!

Hope Stone New Orleans
Hope Stone New Orleans provides “Arts for All” through innovative arts education programs that inspire the creative soul. We are committed to offering free and low cost arts programming to children and adults of all demographics who are living in the city of New Orleans. Students explore mediums of creative expression and develop their own artistic voices.
Last year, Hope Stone NOLA awarded $16,000 worth of summer camp scholarships for 75 students to attend our six-week program. This year we anticipate on doubling the scholarship amount to $30,000 for twelve weeks of camp. In addition to camp, each student receives a free healthy breakfast and lunch from Second Harvest Food Bank.
