CAD/CAM for Dental Labs 2012
This program is intended for all Dental technicians interested in or involved in CAD/CAM and automation in the dental lab. We will have an in-depth discussion and categorize many of the commonly used systems in Dental technology. Topics will also include the benefits of open and closed architecture, and how best to select the right CAD and/or CAD CAM system for your laboratory.
You will be introduced to the CAP Complete system and work-flow. This CAD/CAM solution includes many best-in-class products. This unique solution has fully open architecture and fully Integrated components. CAP Complete is likely the only dental lab CAD/CAM solution that offers such a comprehensive integration in a fully open format.
Live demonstrations will include 3Shape CAD. 3Shape is the world-wide leader in laboratory scanners and CAD application. We will demonstrate design features and will design custom abutments, crowns and a bridge. In addition, we will demonstrate SUM3D CAM. This affordable CAM solution is based on a platform that can grow as you grow. We will demonstrate STL file transfer and file management. SUM3D is simple to use and fully integrated with 3Shape and Roland. We will then mill parts using the Roland DWX 50, 5 axis milling machine. This cost-effective milling solution is rapidly becoming the mill of choice in dental labs around the world for milling zirconia, PMMA and wax.
Lastly, we will engage with attendees and discuss how best to determine return on investment, and what it takes for an ROI to be favorable.
This is a must attend program for laboratory owners that have ambitions to stay competitive in 2012 and beyond in the rapidly changing field of dental technology.
We will have a small reception on-site following the meeting.
