BYOB Painting with Bacteria
Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (CDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
A wide rainbow of fluorescent proteins are used by scientists in all kinds of research ranging from imaging neurons to detecting the presence of specific traits in cells. At the start of the workshop, we'll tell you all about the history of flourescent proteins and the exciting role they play in research. Then we will get hands on and make paintings with them.
This is just like those other BYOB Painting classes where you drink lots of wine while the teacher paints your painting for you. With one slight difference, the paint we will be using will happen to be alive...and you'll be doing all the painting ;)
