Event Details

One-night of passionate true stories about those times when the gauge of life pushes past 'extreme' into 'Code Red'. Sometimes its the heat, sometimes its the red-head down the street. Passion, anger &/or lack of air-conditioning are at the core of many a story.

Kay DeMartini - Comic, Host, Producer. Steal off her front porch - then you'll know what Hot & Bothered means . . .

Bruce Pachtman - Artistic Director, Producer of SF's StgeWerx 'Solo Sundays' and 'The Vent'. Also CEO of Pachtman Theatrics - a marketing & publicity company for performing artists. His solo show 'Don't Make me Look Too Psychotic' - ran for 101 weeks in SF. Stepping out for his first storytelling show off his home court, he's chosen 'BustingOut'!

Saida Acevedo - She told her first story - ever - last month on BustingOut's show 'Get Lucky' about being the receptionist for a NY Call Girl center. Now she's back with more . .

Jonathan Bender - MS, MFA, 'WholeSpeak founder, Bay Area speech & acting coach, performer - who's gearing up for on his new solo work 'One Man Show' - coming here to tell his 'Hot & Bothered & she's from Brazil story' . . .

Doug Cordell - www.Dougcordell.com  A BustingOut favorite - he's hot, he's bothered. Give this man room. He has radio essays air on NPR’s Snap Judgment and APM’s Marketplace; he has performed in NYC, SF LA; is a member of the Writers Guild of America and has a Master of Fine Arts degree in Dramatic Writing from NYU. Follow him on Twitter.

Joel Brown - He's a special guy, no doubt - dances professionally - and from a wheel chair. His upbeat attitude and clear reserve of unlimited power make him unique in multiple ways. This  amazing guy has lots to say and you'll want to hear this . . .

Josh Cereghino - see him on stage at the 1st SF Moth Grandslam the other night? No? Don't worry - he's a regular Grandslam winner, catch him next time. He's been on NPR's Snap Judgment, The Moth - appears on story stages up & down the coast, a regular on our stage. He's Hot. He's bothered.

studied vocal performance and jazz guitar at the University of Utah from 2008-2011. In May 2011, he released his first music album, “In Retrospect”, under the Spy Hop Records Label. Joel grew up learning dance and gymnastics from his dancer mother and his gymnast father. At the age of 9, Joel was paralyzed in a car accident. He returned to dance in high school at the encouragement of his older brother Graham Brown, who was an MFA dance student at the University of Maryland.  - See more at: http://axisdance.org/2012/05/axis-is-thrilled-to-welcome-apprentice-joel-brown/#sthash.l82hpxPL.dpuf
