Lenders are asking settlement agents to provide copies of their Best Practices Policies and Procedures Manual. Is yours ready for distribution? If not, it’s time to attend Building the Pillars of ALTA’s Best Practices – Workshop I. The workshop is designed to give you a jump-start on the creation and documentation of your personalized Best Practices Policies and Procedures Manual. This three hour workshop reviews Pillar 1 - Licensing; Pillar 6 - Professional Liability Insurance; and Pillar 7 - Resolving Consumer Complaints. The workshop details Florida specific requirements for each of the three pillars. An example is reviewed and then time for drafting your own individual policies, procedures, and logs with internal checks is allotted. This seminar has been approved for 3.5 general CLE credits and 3.5 ethics credit with the Florida Bar; 3.5 hours of continuing education with NALA; and 2 hours of ethics and 1 hour of title credits with DFS.
