With the goal of achieving common literacy goals, we will discuss examples of effective literacy instruction and learn how other leadership teams have created powerful learning communities in which teachers engage in continuous reflection to improve their practice and increase student learning.

About the Presenter
Mary Cerullo’s career in education spans 35 years of service in public schools. She’s held several executive positions, most recently as the Executive Director of Literacy for the Bristol Warren Regional School District in Rhode Island. Mary has also served as a Regent’s Reading Fellow for the Rhode Island Department of Education, appointed by the RI Board of Regents; and was Past President of the New England Reading Association. She was the recipient of NERA’s 2004 Literacy Award.
