BUILDING DETROIT: FROM PLANS TO PERMIT

The City of Detroit Buildings, Safety Engineering & Environmental Department (BSEED) invites you to a half-day forum to present new processes for plan review and other initiatives to streamline doing business with the department. A panel of city department representatives will be available for breakout sessions about Plan Review, Certificate of Occupancy, Zoning and Business Licensing. Keynote Speaker: Michael Merchant, Commissioner, Chicago Department of Buildings.
Attendees can lookup fees and schedule consultation times with BSEED staff. THIS DAY ONLY: Discounted settlement of BSEED penalties for accounts paid in full on-site. Credit cards and checks only.
Parking is available in the Cobo Center structure at Jefferson and Washington Blvd for $10.

The Buildings, Safety Engineering & Enviornmental Department (BSEED) is the public agency that administers and enforces the Michigan State family of construction and environmental codes, which regulate the construction and alteration of buildings throughout the state.
BSEED provides for the safety, health, welfare and improvement of Quality of life of the general public relative to buildings and their environments in an efficient, cost effective, user-friendly and professional manner.
