Exploring the Convergence of Buddhism, Technology, and Culture
Featuring over 3-days of live event content including informative Keynote Addresses, power punched TED-style talks, and provocative roundtable discussions, as well as community-led unplugged sessions, the Buddhist Geeks Conference is one of the only events on the planet where you can participate at the intersection of Buddhism, technology, and global culture.
“It’s clear that the electronic virtual interconnected web and online world is the wild way the Dharma stream is flowing, and the Geeks have their minds dialed into the revolutionary next generation.” - Jack Kornfield, Buddhist Teacher and Author
“What’s a Buddhist Geek? It’s someone with an interest in technology and Buddhist Wisdom who wants to figure out how to use technology to reinvent a thousands-year-old spiritual practice to be more accessible, more relevant and easier to integrate into our lives.” - Jane McGonigal, Silicon Valley Game Designer
The fourth annual Buddhist Geeks Conference will take place October 16th – 19th, 2014 in beautiful Boulder, Colorado at the Millennium Harvest House hotel and will include all the key elements from the previous three years: Keynotes, Live talks, Unplugged sessions, #openpractice, and Roundtables. We’re also adding some surprising, new elements too including a Buddhist Geeks Reception, an extra day of geeky talks and explorations, and a 24/7 #openpractice room to get your practice on throughout the conference, whenever you like.
We are holding the event at the Millennium Harvest House Hotel, which means people can stay under one roof for their entire stay. Know what this means? Lots of late night unplugged conversations. After all, it’s the meetings and connections and conversations that happen in-between the formal schedule that is what the BG Conference is all about. We hope you’ll join us for the fourth annual Buddhist Geeks Conference.
