BSFC's Second Annula Harvest Gala
Saturday, November 20, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (PST)
About a year after the start of the Berkeley Student Food Collective (BSFC), we are finally opening our doors to the public to sell fresh, local, healthy, environmentally sustainable, and ethically produced food at an affordable price to the Berkeley students and community. Our storefront is located at 2440 Bancroft across the street from the Berkeley campus. To celebrate our opening and share our mission with the wider Bay Area, the BSFC is proud to announce its Second Annual Harvest Gala. The gala is set to take place on November 20th from 6 – 9 pm in the David Brower Center in Downtown Berkeley. The event will include live music, organic food, a fantastic silent auction, and exciting keynote speakers on food sustainability including Jessica Prentice co-founder of Three Stone Hearth. It will be a formal dinner event with a twist — being organized by students and youth, the event will be creative and fun with art displays, musical performances, and other elements. It's going to be an opportunity to get inspired, to support an incredible vision and movement, and most of all, to have fun! Last year's gala was a great success, and this year we are hopeful to have even more fun and celebrate our organization's accomplishments and future potential.
Don't miss this opportunity to be part of an opportunity for positive creation in Berkeley. Full night tickets are available on a sliding scale of $50 to $250. Half night tickets are available on a sliding scale of $25 to $100.
Tickets are also available for purchase by check. Please make checks out to BSFC Gala in the memo line. Include a note with your name and whether your are attending the entire event or just the first half, and mail this to: BSFC, P.O. Box 4250, Berkeley, CA 94704.
