Bruce Eichelberger, Jennifer Jelenski, Juan Muniz & Krystopher Sapp

December 6 – 29, 2013
Artist Reception: Friday, December 6th; 8-11 PM

Bruce Eichelberger
“Babel”
Bruce Eichelberger is a self-taught artist who expresses his disdain for politicians, authority and religious institutions through allegorical illustrations and paintings. Bizarre sexuality, grotesque violence and his lovely, long-haired wife are common motifs in his art works, which are rendered through the mediums of pencil, ink, chalk, wood carving, and pyrography (wood burning). He was recently profiled by HEY! Magazine in Paris and invited to exhibit in La Halle Saint Pierre

Jennifer Jelenski “Let’s Get Lost”
Jennifer Jelenski grew up in a sleepy, little mill town in Indiana but her nomadic tendencies guided her to nearby Chicago where she attended the American Academy of Art and Tree Studios then to the mountains and valleys of North Carolina where she spent six years painting Wrathful Tibetan Icons which continued after relocating to California. Her current work is an eclectic assortment of stylized cartoon critters and Tibetan symbolism that comes from a love of Jack Kirby and the more ‘interesting’ corners of her mind.

Juan Muniz “Furry Tails”
Juan Muniz is the new, visible face of Las Vegas Street Art. His work adorns the walls of the Cosmopolitan Hotel, and his murals have been commissioned all over Sin City. His cute and merchandise-friendly figures are often caught precariously participating in violence, and vandalism revealing a secret life to his toons which resonates with glitter and gutter culture alike.

Krystopher Sapp “Altered States”
Krystopher Sapp‘s assemblage has been featured at the L.A. Municipal Art Gallery, included in Chet Zar’s lauded Conjoined exhibitions, and featured prominently in videos by Florida Death Metal progenitors, Morbid Angel. Using Home Depot as his art supply store, Sapp creates intensely technical sculptures that address the horrors of war, the wonders of science, and the inevitability of mortality.
