Activities of Banks in Broward County
The Housing Credit Needs Forum is part of the Broward Housing Council objective to better understand how banks in Broward County are responding to the housing-related financing needs of Broward County residents, municipalities and affordable housing developers and service providers as well as provide a set of recommendations to help further address those needs.
Broward County has selected Carras Community Investment Inc. to undertake a variety of activities to perform the desired evaluation. Included among these will be a Housing Credit Needs Forum to hear from key stakeholders and discuss future options and approaches for coordinating bank CRA activities with the affordable housing priorities of Broward County.
In addition, Carras Community Investment, Inc. will be contacting banks to obtain information and data relative to each bank's CRA response to housing needs in Broward County, as well as their recommendations and suggestions for future cooperative activities. If your bank has a CRA or Community Development officer, please send that person’s name and contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org or call James Carras, Principal at (954) 415-2022. A final report will be prepared by Carras Community Investment, Inc. to be presented to the Broward Housing Council for discussion and future planning purposes.
