Brooklyn Long Island Alumni 1st Annual College Preparation Workshop

The 1st Annual Financial Aid College Preparation Workshop is an initiative to familiarize aspiring high school juniors and seniors with the college admittance process in regards to scholarships, loans, etc. This program will provide the Brooklyn community of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity’s initiatives with youths who are seeking higher-education.
Space will be limited. Students and parents will be asked to register online at kapsicollegeprep.eventbrite.com. We ask for students and parents to print a copy of their online registration to present the day of the event.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated was founded January 5th, 1911 on the campus of Indiana University at Bloomington, Indiana. Kappa Alpha Psi, a college fraternity now comprised of functioning Undergraduate and Alumni Chapters on major campuses and in cities throughout the country, is the crystallization of a dream. It is the beautiful realization of a vision shared commonly by the late Revered Founders Elder Watson Diggs; John Milton Lee; Byron K. Armstrong; Guy Levis Grant; Ezra D. Alexander; Henry T. Asher; Marcus P. Blakemore; Paul W. Caine; Edward G. Irvin and George W. Edmonds.
The Brooklyn-Long Island Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated was founded April 9, 1949. On the social action front, B-LI began implementing other projects such as :
Canned Food and Clothing Drives in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island Areas;
Distributed Thanksgiving Baskets and Meals;
Hosted Walk / Run-a-thons
Implemented SAT workshops.
