Brooklyn is quietly becoming the nation's capital of comedy. As Brooklyn-born Jimmy Fallon brings The Tonight Show back to its rightful coast we recognize that behind the scenes, many, if not most, of late night TV's writers, tomorrow's headlining stand-ups, and just about a million SNL-wannabe sketch group are living in Brooklyn.
But don't take our word for it. Look at what respected business newspaper The Wall Street Journal has to say: "The vibrant alt-comedy scene that used to be centered in the East Village a few years ago has now become scattered throughout Brooklyn."
See? Pretty impressive.
In true Brooklyn style, Brooklyn Ha Ha introduces some of NYC's best under-the-radar talent along with one of local up-and-comers on the local scene. Again, pretty impressive.
