Jean Grae is a hip-hop artist who rose to prominence in the New York City underground scene and has since built an international fanbase. She has been challenging the boundaries of artistry since her debut in 1996. Today Grae continues to push the envelope of perception, marketing, and branding. Corn Mo is a Brooklyn-based musician. He sings, plays the accordion, keyboards, and sometimes performs as a one man band. His music style is a mixture of circus music, glam rock, and humorous novelty songs. Corn Mo has performed with The Polyphonic Spree, and has done shows with David Cross, Nick Offerman, Ben Folds, Wheatus and They Might Be Giants. He is currently in the band .357 Lover. (Set time 10:40pm-11:10pm)
Johnny "Shellhead" and Jen Shag, two halves of Brooklyn indie duo Shellshag, got their individual starts in the '90s San Francisco D.I.Y. scene while running the infamous Starcleaners Warehouse. This historical music co-op in the Mission District was formerly home base to The Residents, The Dandy Warhols, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Mixing No Age-type noise punk and Moldy Peaches-type innocence, they toured incessantly, and gained notice with energetic sets and a unique presence: Jen drummed while standing up and Johnny ended sets with explosive guitar feedback. Their first album was recorded by Pavement's Gary Young in 2004. - Jason Lymangrover, Rovi (Set time 10:00pm-10:30pm)

When & Where
Brooklyn Comedy Festival
Brooklyn comedy is setting the precedent for the rest of the world right now. The Brooklyn Comedy Festival was created to celebrate the scene and to give every level of performer a chance to shine on Brooklyn’s many stages.
Each year, the festival showcases both established and up-and-coming performers from every realm of comedy, including sketch, standup, and improv. In addition to shows, there are after parties throughout Brooklyn hosted by local and national sponsors.
