Please join us for a 25 mile bike ride from Bronxville to Battery Park in downtown Manhattan. The ride will be a very easy going pace and approximately 25 miles. We will explore existing portions of the East Coast Greenway which include the Bronx River Greenway, Bronx River Forest, Mosholu Greenway, Van Cortlandt Park Greenway and 13 miles of the Hudson River Greenway from Northern Manhattan all the way down to Battery Park. We will also ride part of the East Coast Greenway interim route which is on road and takes you through historic neighborhoods in the Bronx and Northern Manhattan. We plan to reach Battery Park at around 12:00 PM where we will stop at an outdoor café for sandwiches.
Please plan on providing transportation back to your home or the starting point in Bronxville. Parking is free at the Bronxville Train Station on Sunday's.
Bronxville is along Metro North’s Harlem Line and is a 35 minute ride from Grand Central Station. There is a 7:25 AM train leaving from Grand Central which arrives in Bronxville at 8:00 AM on June 6th. Bikes are permitted on the trains for those with a MTA Bike Permit, www.mta.info/bike Only $5 for life!
