Event Details

Bleu Royalty is an organization that unites local artists who use the arts as a way to bridge generational, relationship and spiritual gaps via stage plays, radio, television, social media and community service. We are intentional about creating a space that is refreshing, relevant and still family friendly. We do this in attempt to rebuild the idea of family, community and to open lines of communication about very difficult topics. Views and lifestyles have never been so different due to the advance of technology, work demands and the lack of positive family oriented exposure in pop culture. We are revamping these ideas not only in our work, but also in building relationships with younger generations. Bleu Royalty exemplifies ambition, initiative, innovation, freedom, growth and leadership. We are a brand that is authentic, honest and unafraid to be transparent with our lives.

“Broken Pieces” the stage play is an urban inspirational play that follows three siblings who were abandoned by their mother and left with their grandmother. Now, as adults we journey through their marriages and relationships and witness the emotional handicaps abandonment has brought into their lives. Dexter, 29, is dealing with trust issues between himself and his wife, Abby, after two miscarriages and they continue to struggle with infertility.  Devin, 26, is stuck with childish ways. He is more consumed with video games, partying and his friends than his wife, Tatiana, and their two daughters, Ashiya, 10, and Kennedy, 4. Erin, 19, is a college sophomore with big dreams of being an attorney. She finds out that she and Adam are pregnant and is faced with a very difficult decision that could alter her life forever. Ignoring everyone's plea to do the "right thing" her fears and loss of faith steer her more than words of wisdom. Gramz's, their grandmother, is trying to keep their family together and uses her faith and words of wisdom to steer them in the best direction she knows.

In a time when love is so hard to find and even harder to keep how do we keep our relationships together? How do we forgive ourselves of our dark pasts and begin to live in freedom? When is it ok to finally be happy? Where do you start to mend the broken pieces of your life so that you can finally be whole?
