Brightons 4th Raspberry Pi Jam - “Gaming and Entertainment”

Happy new year!

BrightonPi is back at the Build Brighton Hackspace for the 4th Brighton Raspberry ‘Jam’ on Tuesday the 5th of February.

Did you just receive a Raspberry Pi for christmas, or have one sitting still unused? If so a really popular use of the Pi has been as a very cheap smartTV enabler.

Chris Swan (blog.thestateofme.com, @cpswan) will be presenting an in depth look at the OpenELEC distribution of XBMC for RPi. Chris will also be taking a look at running MAME the popular arcade machine emulator on the Pi.

Keeping the gaming theme rolling, we will be finishing up the evening with a Quake 3 deathmatch tournament all running of a group of networked Pis, and projected onto the large screen!

Should be a fun evening!
