Countless intersections

Guest Speakers:

Brené Brown

is a research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. Brown's research on shame and empathy led to her development of a concept that she calls Wholeheartedness. Her groundbreaking work has been featured on PBS, NPR, CNN, and was the topic of her 2012 TED talk as well as two 2010 TEDx talks (Houston and Kansas City).

Bishop Yvette Flunder

is a much sought after preacher, educator, conference speaker and singer who founded the City of Refuge UCC, a thriving inner-city congregation in San Francisco, in 1991 in order to unite a gospel ministry with a social ministry.
