Hi, I'm Amanda Ogden and I'm thrilled to work with moms, babies, and families to meet their breastfeeding goals. I'm available for in-home lactation consults and private breastfeeding classes.
I honor and respect each family's unique needs when developing practical solutions to breastfeeding issues. My goal is to help normalize feeding for the mother and baby. I believe that feeding is normal and babies know how to eat; however, if challenges present themselves I can address many issues, such as: poor latch premature babies, low milk supply birth trauma related feeding issues, over-supply previous breast surgery, sore nipples previous breast feeding failure, slow growth adoptive breastfeeding dysfunctional latch.
I received my International Board Certified Lactation Consultant certification in 2002 after working extensively in labor and delivery in a large Denver hospital. I've been a Registered Nurse since 1995 and my passion for assisting families with breastfeeding led me to begin work in the lactation field in 1998. In addition to providing private in-home consultation, I continue to work for an area hospital as one of its consultants. My family and I live in the Highlands neighborhood area of Northwest Denver.
