Breakout Session 2: The New Innovative Classrooms

MSTC has been very busy this summer creating our new innovative classrooms. So you may ask, “What is an innovative classroom?” The simple answer is that an innovative classroom allows for complete, movable interaction between all students, the instructor, and the technologies provided in the classroom. Because all furniture (tables, chairs, etc.) will be on wheels the instructor and students will be able to re-configure the room continually, to provide the best learning environment possible for whatever is being presented that day. In addition, technology will allow for two-way interactivity wirelessly, between the presentations on monitors around the room as well as whatever electronic device the student is using i.e. laptop, I-pad, I-phone, etc. What a great way to learn! By attending this session, you will gain valuable insight into this new, exciting way of teaching and learning while receiving the required training that all instructors will need who wish to use these classrooms. If you choose this session, you may want to plan on attending two (one in L124 and one in A125) to receive all the information and training necessary for both rooms.
