Break It Up // Make It Up
Workshop #1 by
The Break Up Center
Smashing Feelings and Creating Freedom
Saturday, May 11, 2013
12:30pm - 5:30pm
Los Angeles, CA
This workshop is the first in a series created by The Break Up Center and founder Amanda Meyer. Please join us for a day of sharing, exploring , healing and mending as we break away from our anger and pain.
We'll start the day with introductions and a brief sharing session so we can all get to know each other better. Then, you will be provided with an aresenal of breakables that you'll be hurling towards the ground AND beating with a hammer - ON PURPOSE! This is the time to smash away old feelings, bad habits, self-sabotaging behavior, and hurt that may stem from a break up, job loss, loss of a family member or friend, or even an unhealthy habit. Really, we hope any pain and anger you may be feeling and holding onto can be shattered.
After the smashing (as if breaking things isn’t fun enough), we are going to take the shattered and broken pieces of your pain and anger and turn them into something beautiful to mark your new beginning. You’ll walk out the door feeling fresh, renewed and a whole hell of a lot lighter! And...with a kick-ass art piece to boot.
Come bond with other fearless females in this one-of-a-kind, never-happened-before experience! Be the fierce trailblazer and bold woman you know you are and come get inspired and be inspiring! We’ll feed you and adorn you in hip safety gear. Just bring your beautiful self in long pants and sturdy shoes - no sandals or flip-flops! Be ready to make new friends. Leave all judgements and fear at the door!
