A well-crafted budget is essential for even the smallest nonprofit organization’s success. It guides your decision-making and planning, helps identifies resource needs and demonstrates your fiscal stewardship and professionalism. During this session, you will learn the “how to’s” of building a budget for your nonprofit. We’ll discuss how to create a first time budget, the difference between a program budget and operating budget, how to appropriately allocate expenses to programs and record keeping that will support development of a good budget. Designed for beginning to intermediate practitioners, Board members and volunteers.
