Lindsay Sims, Renter's BOOM
Lindsay Sims was working on a PhD in Political Science when she moved to Cleveland in 2008. Her move to Northeast Ohio sparked an entrepreneurial fire that she didn’t know she had. In 2009, Lindsay won the Cleveland Professional 20/30 Business Plan Competition. She did not have the funds to start the business that won her the competition, but the flame was completely lit. After internally searching for the right business idea, she happened upon a property management job and the ideas started flowing. She started Renter’s BOOM in 2011 while she was still working in property management and her first client was the company she’d been working for. Lindsay has been active in the Cleveland funding community, receiving funding and support from Bizdom, Tech Sprout, Beta Space, Bad Girl Ventures, and most recently the Lorain County Innovation Fund.
