Please join us for an in depth discussion on the latest trends in the marketing and brand strategy. Our distinguished guest, Vicky Free, is the Chief Marketing Officer at BET Networks, a division of Viacom that offers scripted, live and syndicated programming via its BET and CentricTV cable  and online media platforms.

Throughout the evening, we will discuss Vicky's career path and learn how shifts in technology and demographics have re-shaped the consumer landscape for Black culture and entertainment. The discussion will be moderated by TBD and there will be plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions.

About the Featured Guest - Vicky L. Free, KSM'04

Vicky Free is the Executive Vice President of Marketing for BET Networks, where she directs the brand, marketing and creative strategy for all businesses of BET Networks, including BET and CentricTV, across all platforms. Based in New York, she oversees on-air promotions, off-channel and digital advertising, and affiliate and trade marketing.

A veteran with nearly two decades of brand marketing and media management experience, was most recently at Turner Broadcasting System where she led the consumer marketing department and built effective consumer engagement campaigns for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim entertainment properties. In this role she was responsible for building consumer-centric, integrated, strategic and metric-driven marketing campaigns for priority series and events. During her tenure at Turner, she also led the emerging markets and promotions team for TNT, TBS & TCM.  Among her many accomplishments are the breakout campaigns for Tyler Perry’s "House of Payne" and Kyra Sedgwick's "The Closer".  Prior to that, Vicky spent more than eight years at McDonald's, where she worked as Director of Women's Initiatives in the United States and headed multicultural brand management. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina and her MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
