Bovinova - The Unique Epicurean Experience

Bovinova 2013 is upon us and this year’s event is going to be one you won't want to miss! We will have some new, unique meats, some new cooking methods and equipment to make for a bigger and better overall experience. This year, we'll also have several bands playing throughout the event, Hot As A Pepper and The Piedmont Boys will be on stage as well as other great entertainment.**

This year we also have a new main charity we are raising money for, one that we think is very deserving of our support....The Special Olympics! Now who can't get behind that?!

If you are unable to attend the event but would still care to support Bovinova and The Special Olympics, we would greatly appreciate any donations.

You all have been instrumental in helping grow our unique little cookout into something that can also raise money for some very deserving charities. So we just ask that you please spread the word to any group, business, organization or anyone else that would care to sponsor or attend so that we can raise a huge amount of money for The Special Olympics!

We'll see you around the fires!

**Terms of Attendance

Terms of Attendance

We are pleased to invite you to attend Bovinova! If you come, we believe you will have a good time, see some unusual things, and eat way too much great food.

However, because we live in a lawsuit-happy world, our crack-team of legal experts has told us that we have to advise you of certain risks associated with Bovinova, and that you have to agree to accept these risks, before we can allow you to attend. So here goes:

1.         Food Waiver & Release. Bovinova is all about food. It is our passion to prepare unusual foods, or to prepare ordinary foods in unusual ways, all for your enjoyment. We hope you like it. However, as with the consumption of any food, there is a risk that the food you consume at Bovinova may disagree with your digestive system, perhaps resulting in indigestion, food poisoning, or Montezuma’s revenge. We’re very sorry if this happens. That being said, in consideration of being permitted to attend Bovinova, you agree to release, discharge, and refrain from bringing any legal action whatsoever against Bovinova (including its members, officers, agents, representatives, sponsors, volunteers, and staff), as well as the City of Simpsonville (including its agents, employees, and representatives), from any and all claims arising out of or related to the preparation, presentation, and/or consumption of food.

2.         Alcohol Waiver & Release. Bovinova was conceived after a few too many fingers of bourbon were consumed; therefore, it is only fitting and proper that alcohol should be available at Bovinova. However, the City of Simpsonville—who has graciously agreed to host us—expressly prohibits “BYOB” events. Therefore, alcoholic beverages will be available from several event-approved vendors. If you choose to consume alcoholic beverages, please do so responsibly. Intoxication will not be tolerated. If you become intoxicated, you will not be permitted to consume any more alcoholic beverages. You may even be removed from the event, perhaps by law enforcement officers. We can’t let any one person’s good time ruin everyone else’s.

And now for another release. In consideration of being permitted to attend Bovinova, you agree to release, discharge, and refrain from bringing any legal action whatsoever against Bovinova (including its members, officers, agents, representatives, sponsors, volunteers, and staff), as well as the City of Simpsonville (including its agents, employees, and representatives) and all vendors of alcoholic beverages, from any and all claims arising out of or related to the service and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages.

3.         Injury Waiver & Release. We at Bovinova strive to provide our guests with a unique educational, culinary, and entertainment experience. Among other things, you will see a whole cow being roasted over an open fire, as well as a bottle of champagne being opened with a sword. These are spectacles in every sense of the word, and it’s not something you’re sure to forget anytime soon. However, these spectacles carry certain risks, and you know what that means: another release. In consideration of being permitted to attend Bovinova, you agree to release, discharge, and refrain from bringing any legal action whatsoever against Bovinova (including its members, officers, agents, representatives, sponsors, volunteers, and staff), as well as the City of Simpsonville (including its agents, employees, and representatives), from any and all claims for physical injury arising out of or related to your attendance at Bovinova.

4.         Acts that Occur Outside the Event. Perhaps this goes without saying, but Bovinova is not responsible in any way, shape, or form for anything that occurs outside the event boundaries, such as the parking lot.   In consideration of being permitted to attend Bovinova, you agree to release, discharge, and refrain from bringing any legal action whatsoever against Bovinova (including its members, officers, agents, representatives, sponsors, volunteers, and staff), as well as the City of Simpsonville (including its agents, employees, and representatives), from any and all claims arising out of or related to injuries and/or damage sustained outside the physical boundaries of Bovinova.

5.         Acts of God. Rain or shine, the show will go on. Regrettably, we cannot refund your money in the event of inclement weather.

By attending Bovinova, you have necessarily acknowledged the general and specific risks explained above, you have agreed to assume those risks voluntarily, and you have agreed to the foregoing waivers and releases.

That concludes the legal stuff. We hate that we live in a world where this is required, but we do. Regardless, we hope that you will agree to these terms of attendance and that we’ll see you at Bovinova!

The idea of roasting a whole cow was inspired by Chef Francis Mallmann from Argentina. It looked like a natural challenge that could inspire a great party and it has! This year there will be a new variety of meats added to our menu that will be uniquely prepared and cooked...Bovinoche style!

This year’s event will be raising money for our main charity, The Special Olympics and our local charity will be Loaves and Fishes ands St. Anthony's Catholic School..  Please come out for a great cause, fantastic entertainment and of course, some very unique food.
