The Center for Law, Science & Innovation presents, "Law, Brain Sciences, and our Near Neuro-Future". The lecture will be given by Owen D. Jones, New York Alumni Chancellor's Professor of Law and Professor of Biological Sciences at Vanderbilt University.
In this talk, Professor Jones highlights both new developments, such as advances in brain scanning technologies, and controversial issues, such as whether and how brain sciences should affect sentencing decisions.
The lecture will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012, at noon in Armstrong Hall. This lecture is free and open to the public, but tickets are recommended. Box lunches will be available to registered attendees.
Important Parking Information - . You can park in the visitor lot of the Rural Road parking structure on the southwest corner of Rural Rd. and Terrace. The visitor parking entrance is on your left (or south) off of Terrace, on the first floor of the three-story parking structure. The parking fee in the visitor lot is $8 for the day. Personal checks, business checks, and travelers checks are not accepted. The College of Law is located across the street, west of the parking structure. Reservations will be made under "Boundless Lecture Series".
