In 2007 he was a finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival, In 2008 he created the “popular” web series The Opener for HBO’s new media division and in 2010 he was the winner of the New York Comedy Contest. He was also one of this years New Faces at Just For Laughs Montreal. His work has been featured on the front pages of YouTube, MySpace and several other online outlets that were once considered relevant. He has yet to completely accept his parents’ divorce and is on a foolish quest to get them back together. Will he accidentally find wisdom and maturity along his journey?

Steve Sweeney was born in the infamous Boston neighborhood of Charlestown, (or as locally pronounced "Chaaalstan"). His Boston accents and local characters are universally recognized - the trademarks of his stand-up act. Steve has headlined at comedy clubs across the country, performing on comic variety shows such as The Late Show with David Letterman, Evening at The Improv,Comics Come Home, and Tough Crowd with Dennis Leary.
