Join The Boston Comedy Festival at the Preliminary round of a nationwide stand-up competition. Ninety-six, bright-eyed comics from all over the country compete for $10,000 dollars in prize money. When it's over, there will be one comic standing with a nice little bag of money and a ton of bragging rights.
Hosted By Joe List
Born in the greater Boston area, comedian Joe List began his career in 2000 just weeks after graduating from High School. His rapid ascent in the Boston club scene prompted the Boston Globe to profile him in 2005, describing him as the "most talented" and "the city's freshest new comedian, showing real promise, real early". List moved to New York City in 2006, becoming a favorite at clubs across the city. He tours as the preferred feature act for Comedy Central's Nick DiPaolo in addition to headlining his own shows in clubs and colleges across the U.S. and Canada. 2007 saw List perform at the prestigious HBO Las Vegas Comedy Festival where his solid performance garnered industry attention and positive reviews. List made his national television debut on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham which premiered in July 2008. In 2010 List was a Semi-Finalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing and was featured at the prestigious "Just for Laughs" Comedy Festival in Montreal. When not touring List resides in New York City where he can be seen performing at the city's top clubs nightly.
